MYTHOLOGY:   We write and rewrite our own stories in the mouths of others.

More than fairy tales, the Greek myths told woke me to my own story as a child.

My fifth grade teacher asked us to look around us for symbols out of Greek and Roman mythology still in use.  As it turned out, I began to see them everywhere.  My favorite bookstore was named Minerva’s Owl and my own language was steeped in ancient Greek.

Myths are more than mere stories. They serve a more profound purpose in ancient and modern cultures. Myths are sacred tales that explain the world and the human experience to those of us crawling toward understandings.
